He graduated from Greenville High School in 1967 and would go on to graduate from East Texas State University in 1971. He would work as a teacher/coach in Mt. Pleasant and also Argo and Winfield through the 70’s. He would briefly work at The Boat Dock in Mt. Pleasant before becoming a heavy equipment mechanic at Texas Utilities Winfield mine in 1982, where he remained until he retired in 2004.
He would meet and marry the love of his life Huella (Taylor) Campbell in 1968. The couple recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife Huella, son Kyle, daughter-in-law Katie, and grandchildren Emma, Hank, and Levi Campbell, all from Mt. Pleasant.
