Thomas (Tommy) David Brown passed away on October 14, 2023 at the age of 60. Tommy was born in Harrisburg, Arkansas on February 21, 1963. He graduated from Harrisburg High School and then attended the University of Arkansas where he met his wife Carolyn. They spent the rest of their 37 years of marriage supporting their beloved Razorbacks.

Tommy and Carolyn moved to Mount Pleasant, Texas right after college graduation to work together for Pilgrim’s and did socollectivelyforover60years. TommyandCarolyn made Mount Pleasant their hometown and raised their two sons, Tucker and Sam to be proud Mount Pleasant Tigers. Tommy served his community in as many capacities as he could. Chamber of Commerce member, volunteer football and baseball coach, swim team timer, Mount Pleasant Athletic Booster Club member, Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association, 4H and FFA parent and participated in many other community fundraisers, especially if they involved golf.

After his family, Tommy loved kids and supported theminanywayhecould. Hecouldbefoundonthe sidelines or stands watching softball, football, cheerleading, drill team, baseball, track, basketball, livestock shows, dance recitals, theatre, rodeo, swim, volleyball, soccer, golf or anything else a kid had asked him to come watch them do. Tommy was survived by his wife Carolyn, sons Tucker and Samuel Brown; his mother Kay McFall; sister and husband Dana and Kirk Shaffer; step siblings Arielle Sohn, Donald and wife Amy McFall and John and wife Lindsey McFall; father in law Jerry Friddle, brother in law Jarrett and wife Mary Friddle, sister in law Charlotte and husband Matt Teeter; plus many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and finally his beloved dog Star.

A celebration of life will be held December 16th from 5-10 p.m. at the Mt Pleasant Rodeo Arena Pavilion. Everyone is invited to come and share their favorite “Tommy Brown” stories with his family and friends. Come and go as needed.
