Sue Anne was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
She graduated from Dallas’ Sunset High School in 1953. Sue and her family lived in Ft. Worth, later Burleson, and finally, passed peacefully in Plano, TX in the early hours of July 19, 2024.
Sue joined the American Business Women’s Association in 1976 and was awarded Woman of the Year in 1990 and 2007 in the Burleson Chapter.
She was a long time member and supporter of Hallmark Church. At Sue’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to benefit the Hallmark Church Building Fund. 4201 W. Risinger Road, Ft. Worth, Tx 76123 or Harvest House Burleson, 349 NW Renfro Road, Burleson, TX 76028, are most appreciated.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. McKnight, parents Doyce and Lenna Davis, brother, Paul Davis, and sisters, Marjorie Junge, Carolyn Davis, Barbara Norris; and great granddaughter, Katrina Rice.She is survived by her children, Linda Norwood (Robert); Kathy Fortune; Jackie Carey (John); and Morgan McKnight (Tonia); nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews.
