Funeral Service for Shirley (Goodlow) Fountain, 73, of Mt. Pleasant, will be 2:00 P.M Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Unity Church, Mt. Pleasant. Burial in Cortznes Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. She died October 10, 2023.
She was born September 14, 1950, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Willie B. and Lula Goodlow.
Shirley was a member of Cottrell Chapel C.M.E. Church and was employed for many years at the Focus Care Mt. Pleasant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Mary Hill, son Edward Hill; brother Sammie Goodlow.
She’s survived by her husband Preston Fountain; children Yolanda Hill Howard (Tracy), Roshanda Hill all of Mt. Pleasant; Keice Hill (Leenell) of Pittsburg, Preston Fountain Jr., three bonus grandchildren Andrieka McNary, Trentson Hill, Tracy Hodge Jr. all of Mt. Pleasant; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; siblings Willie Goodlow Jr., Billy Goodlow, Robert Goodlow, Betty Holloman (Tim), Ruby Goodlow all of Mt. Pleasant; Bobbie Goodlow of Houston; aunt Ruby Jones of Greenville; special cousin Zola Buford; special friends Brenda Brumsey, Martha Shepherd; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
