Randy Mark Thomas

Randy Mark Thomas, age 62, of Crawford, TX ( formerly of Mount Pleasant, TX) passed from this life to his Heavenly Home on February 23, 2023 in Crawford, TX. He was born on December 1, 1960 in Mount Pleasant, TX to Odis Thomas and Mavis (Hanson) Thomas.

Mark was of the Baptist faith. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Safety Control Specialist with Texas Utilities at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, where he was in charge of their safety protocols. He enjoyed fishing/hunting in Northeast Texas, tinkering with electronics/gadgets any time he could, building operational scale airplanes and RC vehicles, and collecting magnets of all sorts. He also enjoyed not working post-retirement and viewed the word “work” as a four-letter cuss word. Mark’s greatest joy was spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren and sending unexpected “gifts” from Amazon to his kids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Mavis Thomas. Left to cherish Mark’s memory is his loving family: son and daughter-inlaw, Ryan & Kayla Reneé Davis-Thomas of Azle, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly & Mike Cashman of Jamestown, KS; grandchildren: Blaike Joubert & Wyatt Joubert of Jamestown, KS; and Kennadee Thomas of Azle, TX; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry & Mary Thomas of Mount Pleasant, TX; Donnie & Marie Thomas of Mount Pleasant, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl & Bill Walker of Mount Pleasant, TX; and sister, Debbie Prewitt of Como, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family.

A visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, TX.
