Michael “Mike” Ray Amerson passed away in his home on December 28th, 2021, at the age of 73. Mike was born in Pittsburg, Texas on January 30th, 1948, to Noah Prentiss Amerson and Ellie Lee Grigsby Amerson.
Mike was a veteran of the Vietnam War and had a 42 year long career at Lone Star Steel.
He was preceded in death by: His parents,

Brothers: Clifton, Travis(Boots),Marshall, Loyd, Harold; sister: Helen Stanley
He is survived by his Children, Michael J. Amerson , Jason Amerson, and Marcy Thibodeaux.
Grandchildren, Kevin Amerson, Halie Amerson, Michael Paul Amerson, Caitlin Deleel, Kara Dorow, William Grant Kruckenberg, Brinley Amerson. Great granddaughter, Bonnie Lynn Sterzing-Walker. Great grandson, Waylon Ray Clark.
A public viewing and visitation will be held Thursday, December 30th from 6pm-8pm at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home, 2805 S Jefferson Ave. Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455. Service will occur Friday, December 31st at 10:00 am at Bates Cooper Funeral Home.
