Graveside service for Matsey Traylor Jr., 93, a resident of Boston, MA will be Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Justiss Cemetery, Highway 49 East, Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. He died December 21, 2022.
He was born September 2, 1929 to Matsey Traylor, Sr. and Willie Godbolt- Traylor in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. At an early age, he joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church. After graduating from Booker T. Washington, he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force. Matsey achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and retired after 20 years of service. After retiring from the military, he worked and retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Boston, MA and made Boston, MA his home. He enjoyed time with his family, friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Jewel Traylor, Willie Mae Traylor, Ophelia Traylor- Spencer and Gladys Traylor-Giulian, four brothers, one infant brother, James Traylor, Dewey Traylor, Sr. and Harold Dean Traylor.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews and family that loved him dearly.
