Margaret Brooks

Funeral service for Margaret Brooks, 92, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Sheppard Street Church of Christ. Burial in Piney Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. She died February 27, 2023.

Margaret was born March 6, 1930 in Daingerfield to Mottie Q. and Pettie M. (Thomas) Brown.

She was a member of Sheppard Street Church of Christ. After many years, she retired from Pilgrim’s Pride.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert Brooks, two brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Shirley Roberts of Wake Village, Texas; two sons Clarence (Cheryl) Brooks, Kenneth Brooks all of Mt. Pleasant; eight grandchildren Kathryn, Kertrick, Quentian, Diamian, Alyssa, Aneshia, Adrian, Scott; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister Mary Jane Smith of Cason; brother-in-law and his wife Rev. John and Ann Brooks of Pittsburg, Texas; adopted daughter Quettia Dudley; special friend Ollie Eaton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
