LEBSACK

Victor Clarence Lebsack was born December 15, 1928 and passed away on August 14, 2021 at the age of 92. Victor was born in Iliff, Colorado, the second child of Dave Lebsack and Marie Schneider Lebsack.

After a four month courtship, Victor married Dorothy Zane Covey on September 2, 1950, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Victor is survived by his wife of nearly 72 years, Zane, their six children and families. Their surviving sibling and families are Dwight and Sue Lebsack, Sally Lewellen, Scott and Lisa Lebsack, Warren Keith Lebsack and Edward Donell, Kenneth Lebsack, and Tim and Karel Lebsack.

Victor and Zane had the joy of loving six children, and then the fun part began, having grandbabies. They have 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Victor is survived by siblings; Eleanor Comstock, Wilbur and Connie Lebsack, Gerald and Sharlane Moser, Vern and Shirley Bauer, and Allen and Terri Lebsack.

Victor is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Marie Lebsack, an older baby brother and brothers Reinholdt (Reuben) Lebsack, Harold Lebsack, and favorite son-in-law Jerry Lewellen and beloved daughter-in-law Laura Lebsack.

Victor had a 22 year career in the United States Air Force, which included two tours of duty in England and four different U.S. Air Force bases. He served several Temporary Tours of Duty in Germany, Hawaii, and Air Force bases within the United States. He did one tour of duty in Vietnam from 1967-1968. Dad was a proud member and past officer of the Disabled American Veterans Bunn Lilly Chapter #16. Following his Air Force retirement in 1970, Victor and Zane moved to Mt. Pleasant. Victor worked and retired from Lone Star Steel. Victor and Zane traveled all over the United States during and after his military service. For fun Victor and Zane raised and sold Beefmaster cattle, planted a pecan orchard in front of the house and grew a garden big enough to fill several freezers.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 21, 2021, at the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel with interment to follow at the Nevills Chapel Cemetery.
