Mildred Faye Key passed away on May 26, 2021, at the age of 88. She was born September 8, 1932, to Bill & Alma Faye King.
At the age of 16, she met James Roy Key & they married on September 9, 1950. They were blessed with one son, Danny Roy Key & a daughter, Cynthia Key Warren. They were apart many years & remarried on September 9, 2004.
She is survived by her beloved husband, James Roy Key, son & daughter-in-law, Danny & Linda Lee Key; daughter, Cynthia Key Warren; three grandchildren, Jim Wesley Key, Marlea & Jacob McKelvey & Savannah & Matt Terrell; one precious great-granddaughter, Kammie Terrell; one precious great-grandson, John Wyatt Terrell; niece, D’Auan King McNeel; nephew, Tommy Rex King & children; loved ones Janice & Jerry Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
She was a Baptist & a member of the South Jefferson Baptist Church.
She went to work in 1962 in the Titus County Courthouse, where she served in several offices, the last 15 years in the District Clerks office & retired in 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, Bruce King; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends & her second husband, Wilmer D. Jones.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home with visitation held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
