Katherine L. Jorgensen passed away peacefully in her home with family in Mt.

Pleasant Texas on 8-23-2023 after a brief valiant battle with cancer. Kat was born Feb. 16 1945 to John and Judy Jardine a military brat and the baby of the family.

She was a member of a 12-step program and had recently celebrated 52 years of service & sobriety. She believed in giving people second chances. She was an in spiration to everyone that met her. Kathy graduated from beauty college, worked in security, and sang professionally throughout her life. She loved fishing, cooking & travel always on the go willing to experience the next adventure. She enjoyed gardening and ranching, she loved animals and especially new babies on the farm, she had many beloved pets. Kathy was a hard worker and completed many creative projects from design and application of home construction to jewelry production and many things in between. She lived and thrived off the grid after moving to Hawaii, she loved the beauty and ruggedness of the island as well as many travels on the mainland from California to Florida.

Kathy married Kenneth Gibson and had a son and daughter. Later divorced she married David Browm and had a son. Later divorced she married Cecil Summerall and later John Jorgensen both preceded her in death.

Kathy is survived by her eldest sister Sharon Helms of Salina UT, her children, Jeff (Susan) Gibson of Springtown TX, Julia (Kent) Andersen of Mt. Pleas ant TX, David (Brandy) Brown of Auro ra UT, 16 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren of which Kenneth Hallett she took the role of grand mother many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Richard McCoy, and sister Shirley Carlson.
