Jerry Don Parker, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025 in Daingerfield, TX. He was born February 8, 1957, in Lubbock, TX. to Lowell Parker and Ruby Jean Pope.
Jerry found comfort and purpose in life’s simple pleasures - telling a good story (or the occasional tall tale), tending to his notorious garden, cooking a great plate of BBQ, and taking care of his cherished dogs. Jerry never met a stranger. In five minutes, he’d have you laughing, thinking, and probably holding a flashlight while he fixed something. More than anything, Jerry’s pride and joy were his sons, Zachary and Joshua. His quiet strength and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sons: Zachary and Joshua Parker; his brothers: Roy, Bill, Clyde, and Lowell Parker; his daughter-in-law, Kathleen Parker (Josh) and soon to be daughter-in-law, Molly McGlynn (Zachary); his grandchildren: Robert, Savannah, and Romie Parker; and his loving partner, Kim Frazer.
He was preceded in death by his parents A service will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Curry-Welborn Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TX.
