Harold Edwin Skidmore

Harold Edwin Skidmore, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024. He was born on July 31, 1929, in Franklin County to Charles Jefferson and Sarah Estelle Busby Skidmore.

Mr. Skidmore attended Nevill’s Chapel Baptist Church, served in the Merchant Mariner’s Coast Guard and a member of the Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his son; Dr Jerry Skidmore and wife Suzanne, daughters; Lynn Skidmore, Vicki Anderson and husband James all of Mt Pleasant, grandchildren; Mark McGee, Greg McGee, Kyle Sears, Kale Sears, Kary Sears, Tom Skidmore, Will Anderson, great grandchildren; 13, great-great grandchildren; 4.

Preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Sarah Skidmore, wife; Glenna Maxine Raney Skidmore, daughters; Glynda Sears, Lesia Skidmore, brothers; 2, sisters; 2.

A graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 29,2024, at Liberty Cemetery in Purley, TX with Bro. James Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2024, at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel.
