Elvin Hines

Funeral service for Elvin Hines, 64, of Talco, will be 1:00 P.M Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Talco Bethel COGIC, Talco. Burial in Piney Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. He died December 5, 2023.

Elvin was born in Talco, Texas on October 30, 1959 to Charles and Dimple Hines. He was a 1978 graduate of Rivercrest High School where he was active in sports. He was a United States Army Veteran having served from 1978-1984.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Dennis Hines and Melvin Hines, sister Cynthia Elliott, nephew Kevin Hines.

He is survived by three sisters and a brother-inlaw Shirley Caruthers and Margaret Hines both of Talco, Texas, Donna and John Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; three brothers and sister-in-law Charles and Mary Hines of Fulbright, Texas, David Scott Hines of Talco, Texas, Elder John Hines of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; a very special friend Lateah Brown of Talco; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
