Charles Elliott, age 88, passed away peacefully on July 12 at his home in Sun City Anthem, Henderson, NV. Mr. Elliott was born on March 30, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Sylvester M. and Mary Elliott. He lived for many years in Los Angeles, CA, before moving to Nevada in 2006. He was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union and had a long career in the food and beverage sector.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 41 years, Bonny McLaughlin of Henderson, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Laura Elliott. He also leaves behind son Marcus Elliott (Pamela) of Las Vegas; daughters Sylvia Harrison (Mark) of Las Vegas and Adrienne Silveira (Steve) of Simi Valley, CA; sister Mary Jefferson of Dacula, GA; brothers-in-law Grover Green of Forney, TX and Dave McLaughlin of Claremont, CA; sister-in-law Earline Elliott of Myrtle Springs, TX; and cousin Vernelle Richardson of Douglasville, TX. He is also mourned by six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Elliott was a boxer in his youth, becoming Middleweight Golden Gloves Champion of California in 1952, and was an avid and lifelong follower of boxing. He loved oil painting and was a gifted sculptor, as well as a beautiful singer, who knew all the words to every love song from the 1940s. He was known for his wit and humor and vivid storytelling, and his dedication and love for family.

Arrangements will be made by the Neptune Society, and the family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
