Sidney Doss, 93, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on November 20, 2021. He was born on June 9, 1928 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Dallas & Lena Jane (Reynolds) Doss.
Sidney was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army from 1950 to 1952. He was a skilled mechanic and welder. He was the happiest in the outdoors gardening, growing tomatoes, and fishing.
He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Dale & Lynn Doss of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Melissa Doss of Princeton, Texas; stepdaughters, Donna Capehart, Darla Keys, T.C. Domino all of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Sheri Reynolds of Omaha, Texas; sister, Ginger Laney of Cookville, Texas; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Doss; sister, Edith Brown; sister, Wanda Shurtleff; son-in-law, Barney Reynolds; granddaughter, Leslie Adamek; and former wife, Helen Doss.
A graveside service will be held at Nevills Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM; with visitation being held prior to the service, at the cemetery.
