Funeral Service for Dorothy Marie Lee, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, will be 11:00 A.M Saturday, January 6, 2024 at First Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Interment Searcy Cemetery, under the direction of Tumey Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant. She died January 1, 2024.
She was born November 4, 1935 in Mount Pleasant, Texas to Earl and Marie (Scott) Tabb.
She was a 1953 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Mt. Pleasant. She was a member of Steven Temple Church of God in Christ, Dallas, Texas, where she served on the Hospitality committee. She loved to shop and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Robert Lee, sisters Ramona Tabb, Jimmie Helen Tabb Neal, Ruby Mae Gallon, great niece La’Porsha Johnson, cousin Barbara Pennington.
Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories her sister Patricia Ann Williams of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, special caregiver Gretchen McCoo; Steven Temple Church family; special friend Erma Jean Miller and numerous other friends.
