Donald Wayne Thompson of Omaha, Texas, passed away on January 11, 2026, at his residence. He was born on March 6, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Lester & Estelle Andrews Thompson.
He served in the United States Air Force, past member of the Cypress Basin Master Gardners, Caddo Trace Beekeepers, Titus County Posse & Mt. Pleasant Rodeo Association. He recently received the Legacy Award with Chapel Hill I.S.D. as he was very supportive of Chapel Hill Athletics Program & the Ag program/FFA.
He is survived by his daughter, Jeana Thompson Christian; grandson, Dareyl Crockett; brother & sister-in-law, Kenny & Susan Thompson; sister, Jean Gandy; sister-in-law, Murvel Thompson; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents & a brother, Bob Thompson.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Daingerfield Church of Christ from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held in the Center Grove Cemetery.
