Betty Zane Dees passed away on July 11, 2021 at her home in Bogata, at the age of 84. She was born on August 22, 1936 in Reidsville, North Carolina to James Jones and Annie Holland Jones.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Bobby Taylor; daughter, Teresa Perez; son and daughter-in-law, Dusty and Laura Dees; daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Mike Worrell; son and daughter-inlaw, Jon and Tamye Dees; grandchildren, Nena Taylor, Kristen Granthom, Scot Taylor, Rick Diggs, Joey Perez, Dustin Dees, Timothy Perez, Zane Dees, Nate Mizell, Caleb Martin; great grandchildren, A.J., Preston, Colton, and Jack Diggs, Zoey Taylor, and Jed Dees; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Jolly Crosby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Paul Edward Dees; sister, Jacqueline Chafin; and brother, J.D. Jones.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Masonic Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
