Randy Cooper passed away on July 27, 2021 at his home in Mount Pleasant. He was born on January 23, 1958 in Mount Pleasant to Perry and Josephine Cooper.
He worked numerous years at the family lumber yard before retirement; was a member of Northridge Church of Christ; and was an avid fan of Texas A&M University.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Gena Cooper; sons, Austin, Colby, J.T., Dustin, Justin and Scott; grandsons, Lane, Tyler, Landon, TyTy, Lincoln and Preston; granddaughters, Cheyenne, Hanna, Callie, MaKenzie, Malori, Chloe and Lena; Great grandchildren, Cainey and Indie; aunt, Pat Dillard; uncle and aunt Darrell and Nelda Cooper; special friend, Eric “Boop” Walden; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bobby Joe Phillips and Johnny Rex Phillips; Son, Michael Parr.
A visitation will be held at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on August 1, 2021 at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Hubbard Cemetery in DeKalb, Texas.
