Funeral Service for Claudis Lee (Rat) Turner, 61, Mt. Pleasant, will be 1:00 P.M Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Tumey Mortuary Chapel, Mt. Pleasant. with Dr. Francis Rundles, officiating. Services are under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. He died, Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Claudis was born May 27, 1961, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Joe Hall and Luvenia Turner.
He was a 1979 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. He was a member of Greater Hope Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant and before retiring he was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Wentford Dean Turner. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Dorothy Marie (Hurndon) Turner of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; his children Pavielle Evans of Dallas, Texas, JaColby Norman, Charles Newton, Monique Newton, LaStarya Newton, Kiera Newton all of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 13 grandchildren; brother Bobby Ray (Linda) Turner of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; sisters Fanetta Hall of Houston, Texas, Patricia Smith and Gayle Ross both of Dallas, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends.
