Cherilyn Kay Mills, age 80, of Naples, Texas, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, in Mount Pleasant Texas. Cherilyn was born February 8, 1945, in Dallas, Texas.
Cherilyn enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling, and reading. She had a love for flowers, nature, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cherilyn was preceded in death by her father, James Howard; mother and step-father, Dorothy and Reid McMichael; and one great-grandson, Ace Munkres.
Survivors include her husband, Tommy “Toe” Mills of Naples; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Sheri Munkres of Omaha, Texas, and Toby and Katie Mills of Round Rock, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vanessa and John Freeman of Bossier City, Louisiana and Melanie and Brandon Cortez of Allen, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bette and Kenneth Ayers of Carrollton, Texas, and Janie Howard of Longview, Texas; two brothers and sistersin- law, Lowell and Barbara McMichael of Longview and Dr. Ron and Peggy McMichael of Austin, Texas; nine grandchildren, Matt Freeman, Geoff Freeman and wife Karli, Reid Munkres, Lindsey Munkres, Addison Cortez, Beckham Cortez, Cannon Cortez, Brayden Mills, and Caroline Mills; four great-grandchildren, Ian Freeman, Sydney Freeman, Ella Claire Freeman, and Swayze Munkres; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday February 5, 2026, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples, Texas. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Harrison Funeral Home in Naples with Rev. Nolan Richey officiating. Interment will follow at Wilder Cemetery in Naples.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Naples, Texas, or Chambers Hospice.
