Alan “Randy” Caraway passed away on August 22, 2021, peacefully in the home of one of his sons, surrounded by his family, in Gilmer. He was 66. He was born in New Boston, TX on December 1, 1954, to Wilson D. Caraway SR. and Marietta Hanna Caraway. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines and retired from the former Little Giant Discount Tire store after 30 years of serving the community of Titus County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters Mary Louise Powell, Judy Lynn Rhea, Karen Jo Caraway and a brother Jerry Duane Caraway. He is survived by his wife, Suzan Caraway, his son and daughter-in-law, Jamey and Jenelle Caraway, son and daughter-in-law, Robby and Amber Richardson, Grandchildren, Ashley Caraway, Tesla Caraway, Ty Caraway, Brooklynn Richardson, and Brynn Richardson, sister, Dianne Caraway, sister and brother-in-law, Teressa and Ricky Walraven, and brother and sister-in-law, Butch and Diana Caraway.
The family will be holding a private celebration of life and in lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations for the “Alan Caraway Memorial Fund” that is set up on the GoFundMe website.
