Brenda Hoffard Simpson, 75, passed away on June 21, 2025, in Mt Pleasant. Brenda was born to Russell Gene Hoffard, Sr, and Marian Jean (Bleil) Hoffard on June 6, 1950, in Mariemont, Ohio Brenda was lovingly recognized with an Honorary Membership in the Rangerette Forevers organization, acknowledging her outstanding service and scholarship endowment. A compassionate and dedicated volunteer, she also devoted her time to the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, tirelessly giving back to children in need. She was a member of St Andrews Methodist Church Survived by her husband, Rod Simpson of Mt Pleasant, son; Roddy W Simpson and wife Nicki of Highland, TX, daughters; Emily Simpson of Portland, OR, Caitlin Rutledge and husband Nathan of Longview, Molly Webb and husband Evan of Mt Pleasant, son-in-law; Billy Reilly of Little Elm, grandchildren; Brittany Nicole Reilly, Claire Rutledge, Christian Reilly, Brooke Rutledge, Bowen Webb, Aven Rae Webb, Josie Simpson, Eli Simpson.
Preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marian Hoffard, Sr., daughter, Amanda Reilly, brother, Russell Gene Hoffard, Jr.
Service will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St Andrews Methodist Church with Bro. Tommy Burton officiating with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Chapel.
