Alberta Brown, 87, of Mt. Pleasant, diedSunday,February5,2023. Cremation services are under the direction of Tumey Mortuary.
Alberta was born December 10, 1935 in Daingerfield, Texas to Richard and Cora D. (Woodson) Finley.
She was a 1955 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Alberta was a homemaker. She loved to cook and loved stuffed animals. She enjoyed her bible ministry and spending time with her family; especially her only great grandchild, Keziah.
She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Cora Finley, her granddaughter Acacia Burch and her four siblings.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Willie G. Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her daughters and son-in-law Phyllis Burch of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Monika (William) Gering of Michigan, Carla Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her son and daughter- in-law Jimmye (Amanda) Brown of Richardson, Texas; her grandchildren Kaylina Burch of Mt. Pleasant, Natasha Burch of Dallas; great grandchild Keziah Gasaway, Mt. Pleasant; her sister Margaret Mangon of Mt. Pleasant; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
