Rebecca Jo Huffman McFarlin passed on to her Heavenly home, peacefully in her sleep on June 16, 2024 in Winfield, TX. where she and Cragg resided.
Becca was born to Rodney & Connie Nelms Huffman, in Odessa, TX. on June 13, 1981. They resided in Pecos, TX. During her childhood, Becca attended school in Menard, TX. from K- 3rd grade. She then attended MPISD from 4thgrade –12th, graduating with her Sr. Class of 1999.
After graduating from North Texas University in Denton, in 2004, Becca started her education career at P.E. Wallace as a CIS director. She moved to MPJH as a 7th grade Math teacher and worked there through May 2024. Becca was recognized with MPISD for her 20 years of service to MPISD in May.
At MPJH, Becca was elected “Teacher of the Year” twice and was “Secondary Teacher of the Year” once. She was also Student Council Sponsor for several years where she and her S.C. students’ parents helped create and build a Christmas float for the M.P. Christmas Parade every year. Becca is survived by her husband, and best friend of 19 years, Cragg, and her precious fur baby rescues, Ellum and Kona. Also, is survived by Steve McFarlin, her father-in-law. Also, her dad, Rodney “her Hero”, her mama, Connie “her Confidant”, her brother, Aaron, and sister-in-law, Andrea. Two nieces, Zoe and Maggie, and nephew Micah, survive her also. Lastly, she is survived by a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Becca was preceded in death by her grandparents, Garland & Oleta Huffman, John and Wanda Nelms and her mother-in-law, Vicky McFarlin, of Winfield.
Memorial donations requested by her family, that were dear to Becca’s heart, are: Northeast Texas Rescue Organization (NETRO), PO BOX 1772, M.P., TX. 75456, (for rescued dogs to be shipped to loving homes, after proper nutrition and training), AND to Titus County Cares (TCC) for the “weekend backpack program” to feed the children of Titus County, 310 N. Edwards Ave., M.P., TX. 75455.
