The Rivercrest Lady Rebels shared a district title and the Harts Bluff Lady Bulldogs acquitted themselves well in a competitive District 16-2A. The district’s coaches recognized both teams’ efforts with the recent release of its all-district team.
The Lady Rebels claimed two superlative awards and 12 slots on the team. The Lady Bulldogs snagged 12 slots, as well.
Rivercrest’s Selena Kelley was named District MVP and Anna Duvall was named Offensive MVP.
Named to the first team were Rivercrest’s Logan Huddleston and Macy Childres.
Named to the second team were Harts Bluff ’s Alexa Arzate and Rivercrest’s Anna Guest and Stoney Carey.
Honorable mention players were Harts Bluff ’s Kaitley Green, Kaylee Clay, Perla Solorio and Allie Mayfield and Rivercrest’s Abby Ross, Abigail Scott and Alexis Case.
Academic all-district players and managers for the Lady Rebels were Kelley, Duvall, Huddleston, Childres, Guest, Ross, Case, McKenna White, Claire Grider, Avery Martin, Vivian Hines and Brighton Beers. Academic all-district players and managers for the Lady Bulldogs were Arzate, Clay, Mayfield, Green, Saray Prado, Peyton Cameron, Fernanda Melendez, Paislee Marshall, Jaci Caplinger, Mattie Merriman and Lainee Cameron.
