    In 1964, Marvin Priefert invented the first gliding-action, fully opening headgate. The first piece of ranch equipment that planted a seed that has grown tremendously over time. When Mr. Priefert was confident in his build, he built a second headgate for his neighbor. After that, he went on to patent his invention.
