Funeral Service for John Norman Sr., 68, of Los Angeles, CA, will be 1:00 P.M Friday, June 10, 2022 at Tumey Mortuary Chapel. Interment Piney Cemetery, under direction of Tumey Mortuary. He died, April 19, 2022.
He was born August 31, 1953, to Roy and Ruby Norman.
He attended MPHS and Job Corp. In 1972, he joined the US Marines. He worked for Red River Army Depot and Rod Simpson Landscaping. In 1994, he moved to Los Angeles. He married Bertha Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Calvin and Eddie Norman, two sisters Lillie Gilleam and Rosemary Hernandez.
Leaving to cherish his memory his children Shundra Norman and John Norman Jr.; grandchildren D’Terrian, Apiphanie, Terrick, and Autiuana Johnson, Genesis, Halle, and Tru Norman; great grandchildren A’London Thomas and Asher Lennox all of Mt. Pleasant; sisters Georgia Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Vanessa Norman of Las Vegas, NM, Janice Teycer, Sarah Garrett both of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Debbie Norman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Darla Black (Cecil) of Sierra Vista, Arizona; one brother Roy Norman of Las Vegas, NV and a host of relatives and friends.
