Funeral Service for Jessie Mae Dudley, 97, resident of Mt. Pleasant, will be 1:00 P.M Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Mt. Gilmore Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant. Burial in Piney Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant under the direction of Tumey Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant. She died, Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
She was born July 13, 1924 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Clyde and Earsie (Jones) Allen. She was a member of Mt. Gilmore Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, Texas where she served as deaconess.
Jessie graduated from BTW High School, Mt. Pleasant in 1944. She attended Med Aid classes and worked for 30 years in a nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hiram Dudley, granddaughter Talia (Allen) Holloman, step son Marvin Dudley, siblings Ruby Hurndon, Bobby Lincoln, Earl Lincoln, Robert Hall.
Left to cherish his memories, daughters Carol Williams and Julia Dudley of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, two sons Samuel Dudley (Hazel) of Brownwood, Texas, Nathaniel Dudley (Janice) of Hobart, OK; five granddaughters, four great granddaughters, two great grandsons, a host of nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
