Briggette Blackburn

Brigette Blackburn, my beloved wife, passed away May 10, 2022 at UT Health Hospital in Pittsburg, TX. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, William Blackburn, and two cousins, Stephanie Walker and Mark Steen of Bullard, TX.

She volunteered at Hospice of Mount Pleasant and Hospice of Pittsburg for many years before she became sick.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.

She loved to shop and always had matching clothes on her body. She always matched her earrings, clothes, and shoes each time you saw her. She was easy to recognize around town because she was the lady with the hot pink hair.

She loved to shop, whether she was shopping for spices or groceries or cothes. She had to look at everything. The more she had to look for a bargain, the more she liked it.

She was born in Houston, TX, February 11, 1950. She worked for B+S Enterprises in the 80s until she was promoted to office manager and moved to Dallas, TX. She worked there until they went out of business in the early 90s.

She moved to Mount Pleasant with her husband to help take care of her mother-in-law, Margaret Blackburn, until her death.

Briggette had to stop working and volunteering in the 2010s because of her health. She suffered from kidney problems for many years until her death.
