Hilda Shairrick passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on March 23, 2022. A graveside service under the direction of Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home will be held at Gladewater Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant on Sat. March 26 at 3 p.m.
Born March 10, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant, Hilda played the clarinet in the marching band and graduated Mt. Pleasant High School. She completed some college courses and moved to Dallas, where she worked as an operator for Bell Telephone for 38 years. Hilda settled in Tyler, TX after retirement.
Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Shairrick, sister Pansy Hammonds and brother in law Bob E. Banks.
She is survived by sisters Ruby Jo Banks and Bonnie Maxwell (Merle), brother-in-law Butch Hammonds, nephews Terry Cameron (Sharon), Russell Cameron (Christy), Sherrell Cameron (Tina), Greg Maxwell (Linda), Matthew Maxwell (Brandi), nieces Sherri McDonald (Kevin), Shannon Reynolds, Heather Eason (Scotty), Amber Severson (Jason), and numerous great nieces and nephews.
