Funeral Service for Gwendolyn R. Thomas, 64, a resident of Pittsburg, will be 11:00 A.M Saturday, December 18, 2021 at First Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant, Texas with Supt. Dr. Tommy Smith, officiating. Burial in Rocky Mound Cemetery, Pittsburg, Texas under the direction of Tumey Mortuary. She died, Monday, December 13, 2021.
She was born May 26, 1957 in Mt. Pleasant Texas to Zettie B. and Johnnie Mae Thomas. Gwendolyn was a member of the First Church of God in Christ, Mt. Pleasant and graduated from Pittsburg High School Class of 1975.
She was preceded in death by her father Zettie B. Thomas, her brother Brian Lee Bain Thomas, her sister Debra Grant.
She is survived by her daughter Destiny Brady and granddaughter BrookeLynn Brady; mother Johnnie Mae Thomas all of Pittsburg, Texas; brothers Vanzettie Thomas of Mt. Pleasant and Gregory Thomas of Pittsburg; nieces Devia Rodgers of Anna, Texas, Raven Thomas of Longview, Yuquchessia Christian and nephew Michael Grant both of Mt. Pleasant; special friends GeNora Gilbert and De’Juan Osborne both of Enid, OK; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
