CARTER

Amber Lea Black Carter, 44, of Mt. Pleasant Tx went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9th of 2021. Amber was born to Dennis Keith Black and Deniece Dill Black of Mt Pleasant Tx on April 29th of 1977.

She is survived by both her parents and children Levi Carter and spouse Ivy, Brylea Carter,

Kammie Carter and was blessed to be called Mimi by 2 adorable grandchildren Jayde and Gunner Carter and 1 brother David Black, and Sara Lloyd. All who reside in Mt. pleasant Tx. Uncles and Aunts Russell and Melanie Dill, Mitchell Dill, Lajuana Johnson and a special friend Ronnie Mobley.

Charlie and Elaine Breitbarth, Pat and Kathy Ottmer, Craig and Sharon Monroe, Charlotte Roy,

Carrol and Jewel Dill, Sharon Dill, Martha Sheehan, Johnny and Myra Branson, Joyce Busbee, Dot Scott, Gerald Brewer and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins.

She graduated from Mt Pleasant High School in 1995. She worked several years as a Beautician then giving up this career to take care of her children while holding a position at CandyLand Daycare. The last 15 years of her life she worked at Lowes Distribution Center where she made many friends. She was a member of Ripley Baptist church. She enjoyed life to the fullest especially family gatherings and reunions where she had a blast cooking with her cousins. She was never afraid to try something new and adventurous. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Her smile and laughter could light up any room and will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jerry and Talma Dill, Aubrey and Mildred Black, cousins Larry Dill, Wilma Harville & Vatoni Ragsdale.

Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6-8pm at Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home. Services were held Thursday at 2 pm May 13th at the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel with Roy Conatser and Randy Sinclair officiating. Burial followed at Gladewater Cemetery.
