There will be a Summer Horticulture Series offered beginning May 12th from 10 AM-12 PM at the Titus County Extension Office discussing Viticulture and growing grapes in Northeast Texas. Other topics throughout the Summer Series include Fruit and Nut Trees held on June 9, Water Conservation and Rainwater Harvesting held on July 7, and Fall Gardening held on August 11. The cost is $10 per session. The annual decoration day for Lone Star Cemetery will be held on Sunday, May 16 at the Lone Star Missionary Church. A business meeting will begin at 10:30 am. Please mail your donations, if you can’t attend, to Lone Star Cemetery, P.O. Box312, Cookville, Texas 75558. Come to the meeting and express your ideas to the subjects discussed.
The annual Decoration Day for Gray Rock Cemetery will be held Sunday, May 16 at 2 o’clock. We will gather at the pavilion for a brief business meeting and a time of fellowship will follow. Gray Rock Cemetery is located on the south service road west of the Titus-Franklin County line. Donations are appreciated for the upkeep of the cemetery. White Oak Springs Cemetery Association will hold this year’s decoration day on Saturday, May 22. The business meeting will be held at 11:00.
