The Mount Pleasant Police Department Dispatch received a call on Jan. 29, at approximately 7:35 pm, regarding an individual who was bleeding. While Officers were enroute, MPPD Dispatch received further information that the victim had been stabbed.
The suspect, Michael “Tyrone” Gholston (50) of Mount Pleasant, was arrested and transported to the Titus County Jail, where he was booked and charged with Criminal Attempt (Murder) Second Degree Felony.
The victim is in stable condition. This is an active investigation.
