The Mount Pleasant City Council held a regularly scheduled meeting on Dec. 2. The council heard comments regarding the new proposed social media policy.
This policy included, “[Delayed] access to its meetings aired on social media.” Additionally, citizens could make comments without attending meetings in person by submitting their written comments by email or a letter to the City Secretary, which, "Must be received no later than two hours prior to the start of the meeting."
The public raised their concerns regarding this issue. There was no action needed regarding the policy.
