Belated Obituary

Glenda Jean Sears Neal Brogoitti passed away at age 82 on 17 Apr 2025 from dementia. She was born 16 January 1943 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Gordon and Billie Sears. She is survived by her husband Andre (who adored her), a son Bradley Neal, a stepson Bret Brogoitti, a sister Pam, a brother Larry, eight grandchildren, her loving caregiver Cassie Collier Fields, and thirty seven years’ worth of former students.

Glenda was a gentle soul who never met a stranger and was widely loved and respected. She was a loving and supportive spouse first and foremost, but much of her energy was focused on being an educator. She was well educated and traveled widely. She visited historical venues all over the world including leading student trips to many of them. Trip targets included Latin America, South America, all of Europe, Russia, and China. She earned her airplane pilots license. She was a Master Gardner. She especially nurtured Daffodils. At one time she had over three hundred varieties and she was a judge for the Dallas Daffodil society.

Glenda will be missed by her family and friends.
