Marty Stuart kicks off Whatley Center season Oct. 5

The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will kick off its 2023-2024 performance season with a special event concert by country music legend Marty Stuart on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m.

City updating Hazard Mitigation Plan

The City of Mount Pleasant is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan, and citizen input is requested via a simple online survey. “Our mission is to keep the Mount Pleasant community safe, and hazard mitigation is a strategy to reduce loss of life and property by decreasing the impact of disasters,” said Fire Chief Larry McRae, who is directing the efforts to update the Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Mount Pleasant High School FFA members have a reason to brag since they are the newly crowned champions of the third annual Ag Olympics hosted on Tuesday, September 12 at Pittsburg High School. Ag Olympics is combination of 6 team relay races and team building activities.

Surgery Associates at Titus cut the ribbon Wednesday, August 23, 2023, on a new location on the second floor of the main Titus Regional Hospital building in Suite 203. This General Surgery Physician Practice has been serving patients in OUR community since 2017 and needed more space to accommodate its growing patient population and additional surgeons.
