Commissioners consider potential new retail location

A special meeting of the Titus County Commissioners Court was held on Dec. 22 to discuss a possible agreement between Titus County and Anderson Town Crossing Partnership, LLC. President of Catalyst Commercial, Jason Claunch, was at the meeting to present this agreement to the commissioners.

Country Cafe joins Chamber with ribbon cutting

The Country Cafe Diner hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Dec. 22 celebrating its new dinner menu and becoming part of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce. As part of the festivities, restaurant patrons could visit and take pictures with Santa Claus all day long.

Ring in the New Year with Hikes at Daingerfield State Park

Daingerfield State Park will kick off 2025 with its annual First Day Hikes program, inviting visitors to start the new year on the trails.The park will host guided hikes at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Jan. 1, offering participants a chance to explore the scenic East Texas landscape.

MPHS Goin’ Gold Band members selected for All-Region Band

Twenty-three members of the Mount Pleasant High School Goin’ Gold Band were named to the Freshman and High School All-Region Bands. MPHS boasted nine 1st chair placements and thirteen have qualified for Area auditions.
