TxDOT Urges Drivers to ‘END THE STREAK’ of Daily Deaths on Texas Roads

Monday, November 7, 2022, was the 22nd anniversary of daily deaths on Texas roadways since November 7, 2000. In the first half of 2022, over half of those killed in crashes were not wearing their seatbelts. “Of the 40 people who died in crashes in the Atlanta District in the first half of this year, 21 of them were not wearing seat belts,” said TxDOT Atlanta District Engineer Rebecca Wells. “Seat belts really can save lives, and we encourage everyone to take two seconds to buckle up,” she added.

Golf tournament raises scholarship funds for Rivercrest grads

The Rivercrest Education Foundation Annual Golf Tournament . was held on October 22, 2022, with 15 teams vying for awards and bragging rights. The tournament raised over $6,400 which will be used to provide scholarships and pay for dual credit courses for Rivercrest Seniors. Lewis Home Healthcare won 1st in the morning flight, and Harvey Insurance won 1st in the afternoon flight. We are very appreciative of everyone who participated, and to our sponsors as well.
