MPISD advances two teams to state Destination Imagination competition

Fifteen Mount Pleasant Independent School District Destination Imagination (DI) teams competed against over 100 teams from the East Texas Region of DI. Eight MPISD teams brought home medals for their efforts and two of those are advancing to the state tournament, the Lone Star Finals, in April.

P.E. Wallace Middle School Dance team wins big at competition

The P.E. Wallace Middle School Dance Team competed at the Showtime International Spring Spectacular at North Forney High School on Saturday, March 2. At the end of the day, the team would bring home 13 awards.

MPHS FFA member advances to State Convention

Forty-one members of the Mount Pleasant High School FFA chapter attended the Area VI Convention in Carthage on Monday, February 26. Members listened to officer speeches as well as show stopping performances by the FFA talent teams.

The Mount Pleasant High School UIL Math and Science teams competed in the East Texas Showdown at Sabine High School on Saturday, March 2 earning a 2nd place team award in one event and several individual medals.
