This past Thursday the University Interscholastic League held their annual Congressional Debate State Tournament. After two days of competition that included over 12 hours of competition Chapel Hill Senior Luke Nichols was deemed the 3A State Champion.

The Miss Mount Pleasant Scholarship Competition serves as the preliminary local contest for the Miss Texas competition. The Miss Mount Pleasant Scholarship Organization’s mission is to empower young women to achieve their personal and professional goals while providing them with opportunities to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and gain valuable life experiences.
