All four MPISD Winter Guard teams traveled to the North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) contest at Pine Tree High School in Longview on Saturday, February 25. Thirty-nine teams representing schools from all over the North Texas area competed in nine different divisions.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $197,778 in Title V matching funds from the U.S. Department of Education. Twelve Mount Pleasant Independent School District Destination Imagination (DI) teams competed against over 100 teams from the East Texas Region of DI. Nine MPISD teams brought home medals for their efforts and four of those are advancing to the state tournament, the Lone Star Finals, in March.
