Twenty-eight Mount Pleasant High School Choir members participated in All-Region auditions at Sulphur Springs High School on October 15 with twenty earning places in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-Region Choir and three more selected as alternates.

CEFCO robbery leads to arrest

On Sunday, September 15, a suspect was arrested after robbing the CEFCO gas station in Mount Pleasant.According to the Mount Pleasant Police Department, it was around 2:50 a.m. when officers responded to a call at the gas station at 100 Alexander Road.
During the last week of September, the weather slowly cooled and brought down the temperatures just enough to let Northeast Texans enjoy the 2024 Titus County Fair without the heat. As always, the theme park rides and carnival games were set up for families. There were food vendors of all kinds, game booths, a taco contest, and local business vendors.
