NTCC receives book donation

This past May 31, NTCC’s scholars could see that they had picked the right library for research on the lives of Texas’ early traveling preachers. Head of Public Services of the DeGolyer Library at Southern Methodist University, Christina Jensen, was ready for them. She had laid out diaries, memoirs, and select nineteenth-century monographs on each of the six desks where the NTCC scholars would perform their work. And they had a sizable room to themselves for three days, plus a series of SMU monitors, who would each work for two-hour shifts.

FM 1735 to close for construction

Work to widen the existing two lanes of FM 1735 in Titus County is moving into a new phase and will require the closure of FM 1735 to through traffic starting next week, on Tuesday, June 20. The roadway is scheduled to reopen in July 2024.
