Body

It’s that time of year again, the Titus County Fair is right around the corner. These students have been working hard to make sure their animals and Ag mechanics projects are looking the best. These students are ready to show us that hard work truly pays off and give us a run for our money.

While these students are working diligently on their projects, they are also going to school, being sons and daughters, making and being friends with others, competing in athletics, and much more while these students are still living life to the fullest. They are also making sure to get up super early to feed, water, and provide new bedding for their animals, go to school and come back and work in this hot Texas heat so they can condition their animals to be the best. Our students who are building Ag mechanics projects are going to school and doing all extracurricular activities they do, and then go to the shop after they are done to work on their project in this Texas heat.

These students are some of the most diligent students, they might not want to work with their animals or have to stay late at school to work on their Ag mech. projects but they do, they push through because they know that hard work will pay off in the end, and that’s what they strive to show us.

Even though these students are constantly pushing themselves, they can’t push themselves as an Ag teacher can. These students’ Ag teachers are constantly giving pointers to them so they can help them perfect their accomplishments. These Ag teachers are always thinking about what they can do for these students to make them better students, and also help them be a better person in life. Not many students think that their Ag teachers will impact their lives but I’m here to tell you they do.

These Ag teachers will be up in the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning so they can drive these students to jackpot shows, competitions, practice contests, major shows, conventions and so much more. The student’s Ag teachers can see the drive that comes from these students to want to be the best, but they also see the disappointment on their student’s faces when they feel they didn’t do the best they could have. When these little things happen, that’s when these Ag teachers will sit on the floor, and stand away from the crowd with these students so they can give encouragement to them. They see the opportunity to not only tell the kids that they will be able to succeed next time, but they also take the chance to explain to them what happened and how they can correct it for the next time.

These students are dedicated, hardworking, and sometimes hard-headed but that’s what makes them unique. These qualities will help shape them into the person they will become, but what will also help is the push of an Ag teacher. It takes a lot for these students to push themselves to be the best they can but with some laughs, tears, losses, and sunburns they can see what true potential they can have.

This is why these kids that are showing in the Titus County Fair are getting ready to show us that hard work truly pays off and that they are going to give us a run for our money. Titus County Fair I hope you are ready because these students are just around the corner to show you what they got.
