Emergency assessment and response began Friday by SWEPCO crews across the service area after powerful storms brought down trees in east Texas and into northwest Louisiana.
As of 11 a.m., Friday, more than 237,000 customers were without power. Many roads were also blocked by some of the same downed trees that took down power lines.
