    On December 22, the Sugar Hill Volunteer Fire Department was called to a fire on Highway 71, where a single-family home was deemed a total loss.According to Fire Chief John Grubbs, the alarm for the fire came around 12:20 p.m. and units rushed to a residence on Highway 71 West.
