Join Pastor Buford Griffith, Jr and Carmen Griffith at Mount Pleasant Seventh-day Adventist Church for a weekend of teachings to help strengthen marriages and homes,

Resilient Families: A weekend for strengthening marriages and homes will take place over two days including sessions:

July 8, 2022 at 7pm – Church Sanctuary

July 9, 2022 at 11am – Church Sanctuary (potluck lunch to follow)

July 9, 2022 at 2pm – Fellowship Hall

With all the challenges that we face today, the pandemic notwithstanding, the greatest of these challenges is in keeping our families Christ-centered, safe, healthy, and seeking to create and maintain happiness in our homes. This can only be achieved by the help of God.

Pastor Buford Griffith, Jr. has a Master of Arts Degree in Biblical Counseling from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana.

Before recently retiring, Pastor Griffith has been in Adventist ministry for over 37years. He has ministered to congregations across the United States, Canada, Bermuda, England, New Zealand and Africa. He’s served as Executive Secretary, Director of Family Ministries, and Director of Religious Liberty for the Southwestern Union of Seventh-Day Adventists, headquartered in Burleson, TX.

Carmen Griffith has a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Mrs. Carmen Griffith is a recently retired dual language teacher after 41 years of teaching in both the Adventist and public school arenas. She is a native of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Mrs. Griffith is a gifted musician who plays several instruments, along with having a beautiful singing voice. She has been a partner in ministry with her husband for over 37 years and has served as Director of Women’s Ministries for the Southwestern Union Conference.
