Project Linus receives donation from Walmart

Project Linus received a donation from the Walmart located in Mt. Pleasant on March 7. This donation will go towards providing handmade blankets for children who are either seriously ill, or have been through a traumatic situation.

Debra Beaumont, leader of the local chapter, explained that Project Linus has delivered 406 blankets to children across the Northeast Texas region over the course of the past eight months. This has been accomplished with less than $300 in cash donations, multiple “in kind” donations such as fleece and raw materials, and countless hours of volunteer work.
